Almond Blossoms

whilst studying, i'm learning about this tree holiday in the Hebrew calendar and in kabbalah.

It is definitely a nature holdiay, coming within the month of Shevat which is the letter tzadik which is connection to the divine in all 3 worlds, world, souls, and divinity, I think we're able to capture the aspect of the Divine that manifests in nature. I'll have to find a good Henry David Thoreau quote.

The earliest ripening fruit in Eretz Israel is the almond, so to mark the calendar almonds were watched for their blossoming.

Almond = shekadiah in Hebrew

Here is a song about the almonds

First, Hebrew transliteration, then English.

HaShekadiah porachat

VeShemesh Paz Zorachat

Tzipporim me'rosh kol gag

Mevasrot et bo Ha Chag.

The almond has blossomed

And the sun is shining brightly

Birds from every roof top

Welcome the arrival of the holiday.

.....

I knew there had to be birds in it ha.

.....

Hug a Tree. Watch for early blossoms.

P.S.

Red Shoes ballerina Shearer dies

Shearer played a woman who could not stop dancing in The Red Shoes

Ballet dancer Moira Shearer, who starred in movie The Red Shoes, has died aged 80.
The Scottish dancer died in an Oxford hospital on Tuesday, her broadcaster husband Ludovic Kennedy said.

That's the 3rd. Wendy Wasserstein, Coretta Scott King and Moira Shearer. Interesting, isn't it.

These deaths always come in 3's. Always.
