'Once a King in Narnia, Always a King in Narnia'

Don't forget to remember.
Remember
the soul of the universe
willed a world, and it appeared.....[bruce]

The Chronicles of Narnia is opening tomorrow, December 9, as well as George Clooney's new movie Syriana.

The Chronicles of Narnia is a film based on a series of books by C.S. Lewis. These books, and the myth they encompass, have played an important part in my spiritual education. I'll never, ever forget that last line of "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" - 'Once a king in Narnia, always a king in Narnia.' I read it for the first time when I was about 10 years old. The memory of the book never left me. Years later, I was searching again for that book, which contained that line. I was having such visual recall, I needed to read it again. I came upon a true librarian, recited the line, and she told me C. S. Lewis "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe". I never forgot again . :)
BBC had done a TV series also entitled "The Chronicles of Narnia". I had watched it when it was airing 1988-1990. Very well done.

The Main Figure in this mythicial tale is Aslan, a Lion. The main spritual metaphor is, all living beings need to stick together to defeat Wrong. Again and again and again and again and again we're told. Yet, for some reason, we still ignore that warning.

Peace on Earth

I think it is a timely and important message that Narnia is being re-released now. I'm sure the special effects will be spectacular, but let us not forget the intrinsic meaning.
As I'm blogging, and remembering, I'm remembering. :) Remembering happens on all levels.
The most outstanding emotional, visual and continuous metaphor my remembering recalls is the Wardrobe itself. ( A Wardrobe is an armoire). The door in the back of the wardrobe opens into Narnia - another reality beyond belief. And herein lies the key. There is always another door to open, another reality to perceive. And once you have explored the wardrobe and opened the doorway into the new dimension, you can never go back completely. There is no time, there is no space. Everything entertwines, thereby creating yet another dimension, another reality. And it is all a circular process, from beginning to end to beginning to end to beginning because there are really no ending, just new doorways. Resonates to Samech, doesn't it. 60. Will have to muse upon the gematria. I'll be studying Rabbi Ginsburgh later, so watch out for the next post. I go faaaarrrrrrrrrrrrr awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

I've even been seeing Aslan in cloud formations. Fascinating.

"Syriana", Starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, William Hurt, Christopher Plummer - fabulous cast - is very political. George does that well. It won best screen play. It will be interesting to see how long it is allowed to play in the theaters. I saw George on TV - another memory. TMC aired a program Films 101, with Richard Brown. I know Richard. I took his film class for many years at NYU. He was one of the brains behind the founding of this particular TV station. Richard is still teaching. He looks great. George Clooney was a guest speaker at Richard's class, and they aired it. Mr. Clooney spoke about acting, and that the most important thing to him at this point in his career was the screenplay. "O Brother Where Art Thou' is another Clooney movie. Very well done. it was on TV the other night. It is important in today's global environment to participate in presenting pertinant insights. A great screenplay and a well done film can spread the word very well. That's what they used to do in the old days. Casablanca. Good Work George Clooney. There's an air of humility about him. I admire that.

At least we have a George who is giving off light with his name.

good daily dose today. blogs are getting longer. oops.

B"HTwo Are One ----------- Many people, without realizing, end up with two gods:One god is an impersonal one, an all-encompassing, transcendent force. But then, at times of trouble, they cry out to another, personal god, with whom they have an intimate relationship. Our faith is all about knowing that these two are one. The same G-d who is beyond all things, He is the same one who hears your cries and counts your tears. The same G-d who is the force behind all existence and transcends even that, He is the same G-d who cares about what is cooking in your kitchen and how you treat your fellow man.G-d cannot be defined, even as transcendent. He is beyond all things and within them at once.

Musing Girl is always looking for the circular synchronicity, the point where the beginning is the end and the end is the beginning. singularity.

Will - when we ponder, above and below, reality and reflection : if we turn around our perspective and wonder - in the point of singularity, isn't Malchut Keter?
