The Torah Portion of Chayei Sarah contains many beautiful metaphors. Firstly, Sarah Emeinu is the only Matriarch who has a Parashat named for her, and also the only Matriarch whose age is enumerated specifically. Her age of 120, separated into 100 years, 20 years and 7 years has great spiritual significance. Abraham purchased the Cave of Machpelah for 400 shekels, because Sarah had to be buried.

However, most of the portion is the narration of Abraham's man (servant)'s quest for Rebecca.
So in this portion, we are encompassed by the energy of very powerful women. Women aren't discussed in Torah. Names are mentioned, energies recorded. But the energy of Rebecca at the Well seems to have inspired a lot of metaphorical imagery, especially amongst artistic masters.

There are a lot more masterpieces composed around this story, a tiny little part of a huge book. Fascinating, isn't it. How something so short captured the imagination throughout history. That is an example of a quantum effect. The energy of Sarah being passed to Rebecca was such a powerful occurrence in the enegy manifestation of consciousness that it keeps on re inventing itself, lest we forget. At this house in Florida, I inherited from the previous owners a statue of Rebecca at the Well.

There she is, protecting my home here in Fla. Also, Rebecca is my matriarchal family name. I inherited part of it in the Beth. but it isn't the same. This is something Musing Girl will have to muse on, studying the Aleph Bet as Rabbi Ginsburgh is teaching me, and remember about 2 (n+1).

Because the connections never stop. They are endless.

Understanding Wonder --------------------

That there are matters we don't understand is obvious--how could the finite intellect of an inherently subjective mortal being, imprisoned within the confines of time and space, be expected to fathom the infinite wisdom of the Creator? The great wonder is that there are matters we CAN understand.

Ultimate Knowledge ------------------

Any reason we may suppose for G-d's will could not be the ultimate reason. The finite mind cannot begin to fathom an infinite wisdom -never mind that which brought forth wisdom from the Void. The ultimate knowledge is that we do not know.
